Collect moments, not things.

The more things you have, the more you want. The more you want, the unhappier you become. The more memorable moments you collect, the more grateful you become. Your life fills up and that ‘filling up’ is with unbreakable memories that cannot be stolen or worn or given away when you tire of them. This is true happiness, and it has nothing to do with your next pair of shoes, sunglasses, car, or television set.

No matter how bad your day is…

grateful

Try thinking of a list of things you are thankful for the next time you feel stressed or unhappy. It doesn’t matter how small or insignificant they are, just silently list them as they emerge in your thoughts….’I am thankful for the smell of grass, I love my sister, I have great friends who understand me, thanks for chocolate it tastes amazing, and for kind people who help me for no reason, and for the sunny weather today’…..just keep it going and before you know it, your negative mood will convert into something much more tolerable. 🙂
